“Tierra Patagonia is a unique 40 room lodge situated one hour from Puerto Natales in the región of Magallanes and Antartica in the South of Chile. It is located on 70 hectares of land and enjoys breathtaking views of Lake Sarmiento and the towering peaks of The Torres del Paine National Park which was designated a UNESCO biosphere Reserve in 1978.
The stunning architecture of the hotel designed by Chilean Architect Cazu Zegers has received numerous awards and the interiors radiate an ambiance of warmth and comfort. The hotel offers an extensive range of excursions with qualified guides to visit the mountains, pampas, woods, glaciers, rivers, lakes and waterfalls of the Torres del Paine National Park as well as the ranches and wide open plains that surround the hotel.
Tierra Patagonia’s chef Alvaro Covarrubias uses local products like seafood from the Straits of Magellan, lamb and beef from neighbouring ranches as well as native calafate berries to prepare healthy delicious meals.
A distinctive feature of Tierra Patagonia is Uma Spa which offers a dry sauna, steam room, three treatment rooms, heated indoor infinity pool with hydromassage, outdoor jacuzzi, yoga room with yoga classes. The indoor infinity pool enjoys marvelous views of the lake and mountains.
The service provided at Tierra Patagonia is personalized, discreet, warm and friendly.”
What is the first piece of advice you would give to anyone visiting Patagonia?
“My recommendation would be to investigate and obtain as much information as possible prior to finalizing your trip to ensure that you make the most of your time in Patagonia. As Tierra Patagonia and The Torres del Paine National Park are both located in a remote area in the very south of the Southern Hemisphere it takes a long time to reach the hotel, so it is very important to plan the activities you would like to do and ensure you allow enough time to enjoy them.
I would suggest that you consider giving yourself between 4 and 8 nights staying at Tierra Patagonia to ensure that you can make the most of your trip and fully enjoy the different experiences that the hotel has to offer.”
